What is 3D Secure: Verified by Visa and MasterCard® SecureCode™?
To make New Zealand online transactions using credit cards safer and more secure, brasnthings.co.nz has added an extra level of authentication, called 3D Secure. This authentication ensures that even in the case of lost or stolen card, your card cannot be misused online without the knowledge of your PIN code.
What is a 3D Secure PIN?
3D Secure authentication requires a password or code called an PIN, or a 3D Secure PIN (or 3-digit secure code). When completing your transaction, you must verify your PIN along with the rest of your credit or debit card details.
How do I get a 3D Secure PIN?
You must apply for a 3D Secure PIN with the bank that issued your credit card, as each bank has its own process. For your convenience, a list of banks is included below. This is not a complete list. For cards issued by other banks, please visit the bank website or contact their customer care center.
