Behind Vamp, this season's hottest brand

Behind Vamp, this season's hottest brand
Posted in: Product

If you’ve noticed a change in the Vamp brand, you’re not wrong. The brand is exclusive to Bras N Things and has had a re-Vamp, with international lingerie designer Emma Stubbs taking the brand to a new level.

Think luxury lingerie with an untamed edge, and not one you can sleep on - the ranges have been selling out Online before even hitting stores. Limited edition drops and elevated luxury designs is a mood exclusive to Vamp, inspired by those who don’t need wings to slay a catwalk.

Empowered, bold and sassy. This is Vamp.

Emma Stubbs is many things. She’s sassy, ambitious and bold. She’s a trademark Vamp girl, transforming the design landscape, taking fashion into her own hands and inspiring many others to do the same. Emma’s designs are bold, unapologetic and one-of-a-kind, inspiring a cult following of fierce women who determine their own femininity. We caught with Emma on why Vamp is so hot this season, read on for new designs ahead.

What inspires you in your design process?

My design process starts when I begin sourcing imagery from catwalks, music videos, films, Instagram etc. I will scour for particular styling details that inspire me and then I build the range from this as the catalyst. For example, I saw a dress on a catwalk which really struck me and inspired me to develop a ring hardware to create a similar aesthetic. This range is dropping in store for February, just in time for Valentine’s Day. It’s called “Treat me like Fire”, it’s bold, unique and a real statement piece.

The Vamp 'Treat Me Like Fire' is coming soon to Bras N Things, join our loyalty list to be the first to know of the release.

What fashion trends are you loving at the moment? Can we expect to see some of these trends in any upcoming designs?

At the moment I am obsessed with bright fluro colours which are perfect for coming into high summer. An ongoing love I have is finding new and interesting hard-wear to be used on the designs. I’ve used this in some of our newest designs in Vamp, such as the Gia, Eloise and the Stephanie sets.

Long may it continue but “worn to be seen” and “from the sheets to the streets” are a huge contributing factor to my design process. I often design pieces I envisage customers wanting to wear as outerwear, not just lingerie. This filters through from longline bras to bodysuits. Moving forward, I have designed some really exciting limited edition pieces which I can’t wait to showcase. The first drop will be a satin and lace slip dress called “In the Spotlight”.

What is your favourite piece/s in your category this season/this collection?

My favourite range is Stephanie which will be in store for Xmas. The whole outfit works so well and are really strong yet flattering designs. It is using an embroidery which I hand drew and then developed with a supplier so you will not see it anywhere else similar to it in the market!

Vamp is exclusive to Bras N Things, sold at Bras N Things in-store, Online or via the Iconic.
