Sophie Hughes is many things, she's the CEO and founder of Business Bombshells, a social selling company built around vegan non-toxic skincare. We love Sophie's take on life, she's ambitious, open and eager to share her message of self love. Sophie has become a much loved member of the Bras N Things family, and we're excited to share her many things with you all.
I am… BOLD
I like to dare greatly in my life, I always reach and never settle and I’m always 3 steps ahead of myself when it comes to business and building my dream life. I’m a firm believer than no one is coming to save me and if I want to make my dreams come true, that’s on me. So I’m bold, in every interaction, every decision, every environment I’m in.
Just 6 short weeks ago I walked away from a career I’d spent 6 years building to launch Business Bombshells and it is thriving, we have thousands of ambassadors all over the world already, all because I dared to be bold. I’ve found that you’ll always be too much for someone, so be bold, and don’t apologise for it.
I am… A QUEEN
At the age of 25 I underwent a gruelling 8 hour surgery in which they removed 40% of my liver to give to my 6 month old nephew, it left me with a 7 inch scar (which you see in my photos) and a new found respect for my body. There was a 1 in 200 risk of death and I had to move back to England for 4 months to have the surgery and recover.
I gave up everything without a second thought and it’s the best thing I’ve ever done in my life. It taught me the true meaning of fear, of resilience and showed me a strength I didn’t know I had inside of me. My cheeky nephew is now a 5 year old bundle of joy and doing so well. I learnt that life is too short to sit on the sidelines hating your body when quite frankly she is MIRACULOUS!!!
No one is going to stand at your funeral and remember your cellulite, they’ll remember the impact you left and the way you shook the world ~ I think that one gives me Queen status, I’m claiming it anyway.
I am… SOFT
I’m honestly such a homebody, when I’m not dancing around on bras n things campaign shoots I love nothing more than growing herbs, lazy days with my kitties, spontaneous adventures and being auntie Soph. Away from the IG reel and the boss b*itch business building, I am so soft, I have so much love to give and I find joy in the simplest of things. I’m a massive softy.
We asked Sophie, what is one piece of advice you want women to take away from your story?
I think the biggest advice I have is to just give it your all, life, love, business, just give it everything you have. Take that leap of faith, JUMP, risk it all, stop dipping your toe in and playing it safe, there is so much beauty on the other side of fear.
